2011 Cricket World Cup Quarter Finals Schedule, Matches List, the Real Tournament starts now. In the 2011 Cricket World Cup, the knockout stage will be the second and final stage of the World Cup, following the group stage. The top four teams from each group (8 total) advance to the knockout stage to compete in a single-elimination style tournament. Third place playoff match is not included in the tournament.

The final sequence of games will only decided after the end of the group stage matches. Hosts India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will play their knock-out matches at home if they advance to the quarterfinal stage of the World Cup. If India and Sri Lanka play each other in the quarterfinals, the match will be played in Ahmedabad. With their victory over Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka became the first team to qualify for the Quarter-finals of the tournament.
