The order of the draft was determined based on the 2010 Major League Baseball standings. Based on the Previous Standings, Pittsburgh Pirates will receive the first pick after having the worst record in 2010. Similarily, The Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, and Milwaukee Brewers will receive the compensation picks, because of not to sign the free agents.
