David Carradine had reportedly hinted at a secret fascination with sex and its connection with death. The Kill Bill star, who was found hanging in his Bangkok hotel room last week, had opened up to Ulli Lommel, the director of Absolute Evil, in which Carradine played a gang leader – one of the veteran star’s final roles. Lommel has now blogged about their personal conversations on his website.
“Before we started shooting Absolute Evil – Final Exit, David and I spent several hours in his trailer to not only discuss the film and his role, but also issues concerning death, suicide, torture, sex and God,” he wrote.
Carradine, who was working on a film in Thailand at the time of his death, was found hanged in what many suggest was an act of auto-erotic asphyxiation. The actor’s family is arranging a second autopsy in the US.
