GATE 2011 Results: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) results will be published on 15th March 2011 by 10 A.M. Candidates you appeared in the gate exam can check the mark in the official website of GATE. http://gate.iitm.ac.in/gate2011/results.php

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

The GATE committee, which comprises of representatives from the administering institutes, is the sole authority for regulating the examination and declaring the results.

For 2011, GATE will be held in morning (9-12) session for some papers and afternoon (2-5) session for others. Also, the computer based tests will be held on a different date.

The Qualifying Score is the minimum mark that needs to be secured to become eligible for availing assistantships provided by MHRD, GOI. The qualifying score for general category in each paper is (a + s) or 10, whichever is higher, where a and s are the average and standard deviation of marks of all candidates in a particular paper, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.
