Sania Mirza is engaged to Sohrab Mizra (MS): Hyderabad businessman Sohrab Mirza to marry Indian tennis star Sania Mirza as sources said. Sania & Sohrab are friends since childhood and their families too.
Apparently, the wedding was arranged by her parents and not by them, so they did not have certain ‘dating period’ or ‘being friends’ as such. According to sources, their engagement date has been fixed and its July 10th, while the wedding date is not yet fixed.
“The marriage date has not been fixed. Sania wishes to continue playing for some more time while the boy is still studying. It might take some time before the families agree on a date,” the source said.
Sania Mirza rose to stardom when she won a WTA tournament, and thus, becoming the first Indian tennis player to attain this achievement. Moreover, in 2005, Sania got into the top 50 of WTA ranking, another achievement that no other Indian tennis player could ever attain. With her unprecedented success as a tennis player from India, Sania Mirza gradually became a youth icon in India and her success led many young people to come to tennis in India. Sania was also reportedly linked with a romantic relationship with Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Telegu movie star Navadip Palaplu.
